Itinerary
Your Taxila tour begins with pickup from any location in Islamabad, followed by a drive of about one hour towards the historic valley of Taxila.
The first stop is the Dharmarajika Stupa, one of the oldest Buddhist stupas in the region, built during the Mauryan Empire. From there, the tour continues to Jaulian Monastery, where travelers can see well-preserved courtyards, student cells, and stone carvings that once served as a learning center for monks. Afterward, you will visit the Taxila Museum, which houses a vast collection of Gandhara artifacts, sculptures, coins, and pottery excavated from the valley. The tour then explores the ancient city ruins of Sirkap and Sirsukh, where stone walls, shrines, and old street layouts reveal the lifestyle of ancient civilizations.
In the late afternoon, travelers can enjoy a traditional meal at a local restaurant after returning to Islamabad, where the tour concludes with drop-off at your given location.
